Illinois Insurance Continuing Education Catalog

  NEW ILLINOIS RULE! - Effective 1/1/2026 all self-study credit hours require that the final exam be supervised by a disinterested third-party. Exams must now be proctored and closed book. The proctor cannot be a friend, relative or co-worker of the licensee, nor anyone with a financial interest in the exam result. You should feel free to select your own proctor so long as they meet this minimum requirement. An affidavit will be available for download for you both to sign upon compelting the final exam.

Ethics: In the state of Illinois an ethics course is required to renew your license. This ethics course MUST be completed in a classroom or webinar format. While courses with ethics content are available in our online catalog, these courses will provide only general credit towards your license renewal.
